Ambassador Programme 2025

We are excited to share our plans for the 2025 Ambassador Programme, which will include both in-person and online training options to broaden accessibility and engagement.

In-Person Training

  • Confirmed Locations:
    • Four trainings at Nora, Ekskäret, Sweden: Dates are available.
    • One training at Château de Caux, Switzerland (prior to the IDG Forum)
  • Dates and Pricing: Details are still being finalized and will be shared soon.
  • Cohorts size: Due to space limits and learning integration, each cohort has a maximum of 30 people.

Online Training

  • The first online prototype of the Ambassador Programme is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
  • Details: Specific dates, format, cohort size and pricing are still under development and will be updated on this website once finalized.

What Happens After You Apply?

  • Non-Binding Application: Your application is a step towards future programs and does not guarantee a placement.
  • Selection Process: Once training dates are confirmed, we will provide a clear timeline for the selection process. Invitations will only be sent to those selected for each cohort. Please note: If you are not selected, you may not receive a notification, as there will be multiple opportunities throughout 2025.
  • Context dependant: Selection will be based on both the general criteria for the Ambassador Programme and specific criteria tailored to the location and context of each cohort (such a venue placement, location, etc.). This ensures we prioritize diversity and inclusion in every programme.
  • Please note: Currently, no dates for 2025 cohorts have been confirmed, and applicants will not be able to choose specific dates. If you apply, you will join a pool of over 350 applicants from 44+ countries, and everyone will go through the same selection process without exceptions. If selected, you will be offered a placement in a specific cohort based on the selection criteria and availability. Cohort assignments are final, and dates cannot be changed or transferred to other cohorts.

Stay tuned for updates as we finalize our plans and open the door to an exciting year ahead!

Application Process

Limited Places:The programme is limited to 30 participants per cohort. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee placement.

Selection Criteria:Our aim is to form a well-balanced group representing diverse backgrounds and experiences. To achieve this, the selection process considers multiple factors to ensure a dedicated and dynamic group of participants. Due to the limited capacity and the importance of fostering an optimal learning environment, the application process is a complex process.

Involvement Criteria

General Criteria (in order of importance):

  1. English Language Proficiency: Participants must be proficient in English to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  2. Impact Potential: Select individuals with a high capacity to influence and create positive change within their stakeholders

  3. Special Collaborators: Give priority to individuals who have invested pro bono work or provided financial support to the institution, recognizing their dedication and contribution to its mission.

  4. Feedback Potential: Evaluate the participant's ability and experience to provide valuable feedback to help refine and improve the prototype.

  5. Experience and Professional Background: Consider relevant experience and professional background to align with the event’s objectives.

  6. Level of Commitment: Assess the participant's commitment to engaging fully before, during, and after the event, ensuring sustained involvement in achieving the mission’s goals.

Diverity-oriented criteria:

  1. Gender Balance: Aim for balanced gender representation to foster diverse perspectives and inclusivity.

  2. Age Diversity: Include participants from a range of age groups to ensure generational diversity and varied experiences.

  3. Inclusion and Diversity: Prioritise ethnic minorities and underrepresented groups to enhance the diversity of voices and perspectives.

  4. Geophysical Diversity: Ensure representation from the Global South to incorporate a broad range of regional insights. Participants coming from remote location will be prioritised and offer a placement first, given the additional cost associated for flights tickets.

Certification and Community

Upon completing the programme, participants will receive a certificate of attendance and join the community of IDG Ambassadors.

During the training, we will explore the do's and dont's of being an Ambassador, along with the agreements and principles that guide our community and shape how we relate to each other and the world.

Please note: This programme does not certify participants to train new ambassadors. However, it is a prerequisite for future certification opportunities.
